HELO LANDING COMPUTER

The Helicopter Landing Computer provides the Flight Deck Officers real time indication of allowed/denied conditions for aircraft landing and take-off operations on the ship.

In addition the unit supplies information on steering manoeuvres to be carried out in order to bring the heading of the vessel within the consent condition sector.

Consent or prohibition are calculated by the Helo Landing Computer according to the ship’s heading, roll, pitch, speed, relative wind data, and the envelope curves relevant to the specific helicopter in operation.

Indications of landing or take-off operation are given through a friendly and intuitive graphics, based on the green colour in case of landing consent and red colour in case of prohibition.
